The European Languages Festival 2026 brings together embassies, cultural institutes and educational organisations from across Europe at the National Library of Latvia. The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia presents the Slovenian language and culture through introductory language courses and other interactive activities.

Slovenian co-production Extraordinary (Bučko), receives its Latvian premiere in the Kids' Reel programme of the RIGA International Film Festival (RIGA IFF). The family adventure explores friendship, trust and the acceptance of difference through the story of two young siblings turned detectives.

The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Riga is the official representative body of the Slovene Government in Latvia. The embassy maintains and strengthens the relations and contacts with Latvian state institutions and their representatives and promotes cooperation and bilateral political, economic and cultural relations. It also provides consular assistance. The Embassy is also responsible for Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
